The Lyceum summer schedule would not be complete without mosaic tiling in one form or another. Campers will be given the opportunity to design, tile and grout either a garden paver or a trivet with any design of their choice - whether that’s a symbol of meaning, a favourite fictional character, or memorable moment. 

 

After a run down of the basics from Christianne, the group will be able to hand select a broad spectrum of tiles from our expansive stash. We’ll listen to influential and thought provoking podcast episodes while we cut, taking time on the first evening to select themes that will set the tone for our week together. 

 

On the final evening, students will get the chance to learn the often overlooked art of grouting. They’ll be guided through how to achieve the right consistency of grout, as well as how to fill the intricate pathways between cut pieces. It’s a skill that will never leave you, and one you can pass on to anyone who might love it as much as you do. Make sure you join us for this one!
