We can’t explore the full canon of Harry Potter without looking into Rowling’s darker side. During this week, we’ll put all of our energy into the last 3 volumes and examine the idea of a horcrux, what it really is and what it means to destroy one.  

 

Each evening will begin with an owl-delivered envelope filled with documents that direct us to carefully hidden clues around the neighbourhood. Over the course of four evenings, we will search for four of seven objects that hold soul fragments from He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. These stand between the Dark Lord and his immortality, so they must be destroyed - completely. 

 

To solve this puzzle, you’ll need to use everything you ever learned from the Harry Potter books. Teamwork? Yes. Perseverance? Yes. A healthy distrust of people named Draco? Absolutely. You’ll also think critically about the novels, debate their underlying themes, and create everything from basilisk venom to wands. And if you can apparate or speak parseltongue? Even better.
